The news has raised eyebrows in Le Havre. As reported by AS, Spanish club Leganés, which plays in Liga Adelante (the second division), has been sold by Blue Crow Sports Group (BCS), also owner of HAC since its acquisition from American businessman Vincent Volpe in June 2025. International investment group 885 Capital, specialized in sports and technology, has finalized the acquisition of 84.214% of CD Leganés' capital on June 1st. Previously held by BCS, this capital, added to the 14.86% it already owned, allows 885 Capital to control 99.1% of the club's shares and consolidate its majority shareholder position. Blue Crow's director general, Jeff Luhnow, has also left his position as president of Leganés, which he held since the club's acquisition four years ago. Eduardo Cosin takes over as president, following a transaction estimated by AS to be around 100 M€, significantly more than the 39 M€ spent in 2022. Partner of Blue Crow before their departure, 885 Capital has expressed its gratitude for their work over the past four years, which has contributed to the club's institutional and sporting growth. AS adds, regarding Blue Crow: The group made a notable entry into the football market in 2021, but found that its revenue-generating capacity was not up to its expectations. That's why it has initiated a process of divestment that could also affect Le Havre. BCS would not be opposed to selling this Ligue 1 team, acquired just a year ago.
