Le Havre AC announced on Tuesday the appointment of Mathieu Lanfranchi as new coach. The experienced technician succeeds Tom Garnier, who led the club to promotion in Ligue 1 in 2025. Mathieu Lanfranchi is familiar with the top level, having played for SMV Porte Normande, Dijon and Cesson-Rennes, before moving behind the bench with Neptunes Nantes and Chambray Touraine. He has also been an assistant at Dunkerque in first division. Le Havre AC is currently 14th in Ligue 1, with 24 goals scored and 37 conceded, a 34-point deficit behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain. The club starts a new chapter with Mathieu Lanfranchi, who will have little time to take charge and prepare his team for the new season.
