Le Havre AC swept aside US Boulogne CO with a 6-1 victory in a friendly match on Friday. The emphatic win provides a morale boost for a side sitting bottom of Ligue 1 ahead of a tough trip to face Lille.

Didier Digard's side took control from the outset. Kaito Mizuta opened the scoring in the 4th minute, followed by Ismail Bouneb in the 27th. Captain Josh Maja then netted a first-half brace, including a 41st-minute penalty. Mohamed Soumah pulled one back for Boulogne in the 50th minute, but Maja responded with his third goal of the game in the 62nd, before Ally Samatta rounded off the scoring five minutes later.

This attacking display stands in contrast to their league struggles, where the club is 18th with just two points from five games. Their recent Ligue 1 form includes a 3-2 defeat at Toulouse last time out, a match where they showed attacking promise with goals from both Samatta and Maja. Their overall record, however, remains a concern, having scored only four goals while conceding seven this season.

Next up is an away fixture against Lille OSC, currently fourth, on October 10th.
