Lucas Gourna-Douath is set to join Hull City after a successful loan spell at Le Havre AC. The former AS Saint-Étienne player, who left the club in 2022 for RB Salzbourg, will sign with Hull City for the next four seasons according to Foot Mercato reports. Gourna-Douath is expected to join the English Premier League unless there's a last-minute change of plans.
But after several contrasting seasons in Austria and a loan spell at AS Roma, the 23-year-old needed to regain momentum. It was at Le Havre AC where he found his stride during the latter part of the previous season.
Playing for HAC, the former French Under-21 international participated in 15 Ligue 1 matches. This sequence was crucial for regaining consistency, impact in midfield, and reestablishing himself on the market.
